Website Design for 812 Signz

I was tasked with designing a website for a company specializing in signage design and production. The owner wanted to have a portfolio website that showcased previous work and built trust with potential customers.

The challenge was to include unique interactions and to think outside of the box to create a truly unique website that the owner would like. Most print shops in the area had a very basic site that was either hard to navigate or not designed at all, and I wanted to make sure this site was different in the best way.

I used Figma to create detailed wireframes and mockups for the website’s layout. The design included past jobs. The homepage was designed to feature some of the company's best completed projects. In an effort to increase Youtube subscribers, I linked the projects page to the 812 Signz Youtube account so people can directly subscribe and watch videos.

The result was a polished, fully functional portfolio website that met the project’s goals. Key outcomes included: Improved User Experience: The website featured intuitive navigation, making it easy for users to browse services and subscribe to the Youtube channel. Responsive Design: The site provided a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, ensuring all users could easily interact with the content.

User-Centered Design: This project reinforced the importance of understanding the end-user’s needs and designing a site that helps potential customers learn more about 812 Signz. Brand Consistency: Designing the website to align with the brand’s identity helped establish trust with potential customers and presented the company as professional and reliable. This project provided me with a valuable opportunity to apply web design principles. The process not only improved my technical skills but also helped me develop a deeper understanding of user experience (UX) design and mobile-first web development.
